Hazel King-Farlow was the youngest sister of famed art collector Peggy Guggenheim and the niece of Solomon Guggenheim, the man responsible for the world-acclaimed museum of the same name in New York City. Raised in high society New York, King-Farlow emerged as an artist when she left the city for bohéme Paris in the 1920’s and avant-garde England in the 1930’s. Known for her modernist style King-Farlow continued to make art throughout her life, even taking classes at Newcomb College in her 80’s.
